"When the voice and the vision on the inside become more profound and more clear and loud than the opinions on the outside you've mastered your life."-Dr. John F. Demartini

I have drug my feet for a week with respect to sending out this message.

If you have read my 2008 fall fast blog, then you know that I have been healing my life of shame.

Those who have excessive shame deal with it in different ways. My primary way is through perfection. For the majority of my life, I have felt that if I am perfect enough, then maybe I will be worthy enough.

So to admit to a food addiction...let's just say that it is not easy. I mean when I talk to you one on one, I feel safer come clean about this.

I have always worked to maintain myself as "Perfect Tirra" to the masses. So sharing my latest piece about Intuitive Eating is not something that lends itself to upholding that perfect image.

But I am so desirous of helping people who have food addiction realize that they, too, can overcome it that I will just have to get over being perfect and accept that eating issues are part of the human condition.

I am also seeking to help anyone, food addiction, eating disorder or not, move to a place where you eat according to the wisdom within you.

So check out my latest writing addition to this web sanctuary on what I have come to learn as Intuitive Eating I actually wrote this in 2007 but felt it was time to share the wisdom that came to me and that I live by now.

Also, there is still time to participate in the fast. This is the last week of this year's Winter Solstice. The theme is "Your Power is in Your Practice."

I encourage you to join in and maximize the energy of this time as you seek to maximize the potential of your life.

May you forever remain open to Love's Flow.

Namaste,

Tirra-Olufemi
